What We Do
Personalized Learning and support
Teachers and learning specialists support academic growth with a pace and learning model tailored to each student. Our staff is dedicated to removing barriers for students and families alike, focusing on community as well as individual education.
Connected school community
We recognize that each student is an integral part of the community, and the community is an integral part of each student. At Venture students are encouraged to reach their own goals while also helping others in their school, community, and beyond.
Emphasis on Social + Emotional Learning
Through the SEL (Social + Emotional Learning) process, we work with our students to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
Future Focused Goals
We teach our students to set goals, learn skills and make steps to achieve their highest aims. Venture also offers post-graduation Persistence Counseling, FAFSA assistance, and additional resources.

Venture Academy currently has openings in all grades (6-12). Students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If a grade level is full, students will be placed on a waiting list in the order their application was received.
We welcome students with limited English proficiency, disabilities and special needs, and will work with families to create a supportive, customized learning experience.

Enrollment for the 2024/25 school year has begun and will last until October 31st. Our grade level caps are below. According to MN law, if we exceed a grade level cap before October 31st, there will be a lottery among new students.

We’ll schedule a tour of the facilities and discuss our Enrichment Opportunities. Venture has a studio available for all students to pursue art, design, photography, recording, voice and video editing, theater and wood shop opportunities.
